Appointments

  • Appointment Required

    • Ballard Pediatric Clinic is NOT a walk-in or urgent care clinic. We often get parents who "pop-in" with their child who was just sent home form school or just fell on the playground, etc. While we want to be available all the time for every patient, it is not always possible. The majority of our appointments are for scheduled patients. If you have a situation that you feel needs to be treated or looked at immediately, please call first or send a non urgent message through our patient portal. Our triage nurses are here daily can find the most appropriate spot to squeeze your child into our schedule if needed.
    • Prescription refill requests require at least 48 hours notice.
    • Please allow 1-2 weeks if you are requesting any copies of your medical record, including copies of immunization records.
    • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
    • If your child is being seen for a Well Child Check and you have other concerns that are not related to routine, wellness care, those concerns may generate other charges to your insurance. We may also perform vision, hearing or lab testing that may not be covered under your preventative benefits.
    • After hours, nurse telephone calls are subject to a $15.00 charge. *Fee increased September 2022*
    • Saturday - Appointments MUST be scheduled and are not drop-in appointments. Saturday appointments are available for semi-urgent problems, for example: ear infection, cough, cold, etc. *New Saturday hours: phones open at 8:00am
    • If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you might be asked to reschedule.
    • Please provide 24 hour notice of cancellation to avoid a charge.
    • If you plan on sending your child with a grand-parent or nanny, please be sure you have filled out an Advance Consent Form.
    • Adolescents coming alone?  All children under age 18 must have a parent or guardian present.  If it is absolutely not possible we require advance, written authorization from the parent or guardian.
  • Sick Appointments

We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting.

If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.
